In fact, when her designer, Tim Heywood, began mapping out the specs for the 171, he drew inspiration from the posh Italian sports cars of the early twentieth century–specifically the 1930’s. Many yachts take five full days to be approved for charter, but the 171 passed her sea trial in just one.
